The Authenticity Officer is responsible for making sure all fighters are using Authentic Viking Age arms, clothing, and equipment. Any fighter participating in an exhibition or in Performance Combat must have his equipment checked by an Authenticity officer.
Kit - All combatants wishing to participate in any Performance combat or non-combat exhibition must have their Kit pass an Authenticity Test which will be conducted by the Authenticity Officer. The kit must at least consist of a basic kit (listed below).
Basic Fighter Kit - All fighters must have a basic Kit before and exhibition or Performance Combat. This kit consists of:

1 Main Weapon (Sword, Hand Axe, Spear, Dane Axe)
1 Shield
1 Secondary Weapon (Hand Axe, Scramasax)
1 Waist Belt with Buckle and End Piece
1 Belt Pouch
1 Tunic (Wool or Linen)
1 Pair of Pants (Wool or Linen)
1 Pair of Boots
1 Piece of Jewelry (Thor Hammer, Beads, etc.)
