Regenwulf - Styrsman

History: Regenwulf, our Styrsman, has been fighting in the Jomsviking System for seven years. He has been a member of the SCA for 15 years and wanted to find something with more authenticity. He found out about the Jomsvikings from Thordis. She went to Iceland and New Foundland in 2000 to celebrate the 1000th anniversary of the voyage of Leif Ericson to the new world. From the moment he saw video of the fighting, he was hooked. After helping to organize the group in Texas and then the first International Viking Market in Waco, Texas in 2004, Regenwulf was invited to the festival in Rynia, Poland. There he saw what a true Viking Festival was like. He came back inspired. A month after the festival in Poland, Regenwulf was named the Styrsman of the first Jomsborgelag in the US. He has worked hard to see the elag grow from four people practicing with axe handles to over twenty fighters trained and equipped to put on shows and do battle.
